Meet Your Attorney
Mary Hunter Beasley Tomlinson has garnered tremendous, focused experience working as a prosecutor of criminal defense matters, including DUI and Domestic Violence cases. As a defense attorney, Mary Hunter has transferred her knowledge of the prosecution to successfully defend clients on allegations ranging from sex offenses to white-collar crimes. She has spent extensive time in courtrooms across the upstate, handling trials and pleas.
A native of South Carolina, Mary Hunter graduated from Clemson University and received a Juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina. She was an Assistant Solicitor/Law Clerk for the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office and former Law Clerk for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office State Grand Jury Division. She is a member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the South Carolina Association of Justice. In 2022, Governor Henry McMaster appointed Mary Hunter to the State Ethics Commission. Mary Hunter Tomlinson’s experience and dedication to client success make her a valuable member of the firm and its successful cases.
Following her time at Ryan Beasley Law, Mary Hunter decided to embark on a new chapter by founding her own practice alongside her father. With a shared passion for justice and a deep commitment to their clients, they established Beasley Tomlinson Law, a firm dedicated to providing compassionate, strategic, and results-driven representation. Combining Mary Hunter’s extensive courtroom experience with her father’s wisdom and legal insight, they built a practice where clients receive personalized attention, strong advocacy, and the support they need during life’s most challenging moments.
